Easy Recognition
It’s important to be seen, but even more important to be
recognized as a bike rider.
Being seen does not necessarily mean you are recognized. Lunasee Active Side Lighting produces highly-visible rings on the wheels, creating a distinctive "light signature" that is easily and undeniably recognized by motorists as a bicycle. In addition to this important "light signature" the active lighting produces a soft green glow and studies have shown that the color green is the optimal color for easy recognition in low-light conditions.
Standard front and rear lights also suffer from what is commonly referred to as optical blending – when single points of light blend into the surrounding environment and make the object unnoticeable. The unique active “light signature” that the Lunasee System creates, with almost 2 meters of visible light on each wheel, will help minimize the occurrence of optical blending, making the cyclist stand out in the environment.
